How to change the administrator site settings

The Admin Access window displays the settings for the Administrator site in the Standard Edition and Professional Edition. The administrator user name can be set in this window, and the administrator password can also be changed.

More detailed administrator settings can be modified by selecting Show advanced administrator connection settings. These settings apply only to the Admin site and are described in the Site/Sites section. For example, the protocol used to connect to the Admin site can be change

In the Enterprise Edition, the Admin site is displayed in Sites by unchecking the 'Show admin site' checkbox at the bottom left of the Sites panel, and so the Admin Access panel is not present.

The Admin site is used to administer the server instance. The adminstrator connects to the Admin site via the Complete FTP Manager. By default the Admin site listens on port 14982 for FTP/FTPS, and port 14983 for SSH/SFTP. From version 6.1, the default protocol is set to SFTP, as it is a more secure protocol than FTP.

Note that the SSH Terminal option must be enabled for the Admin site if SSH access is required for command-line administration as described at this link.
